As I left Haiti last Friday, the rain was falling steadily, and has not stopped. What this has done has caused further flooding at the AGF microfinance branch, and flooding in people’s homes. Many of those who have been left homeless are now struggling to cook their food, due to the lack of dry charcoal.
Patrick Rozier, our assistant branch director reports ‘The office was flooded whilst we were in the process of work. It was really disastrous and customers and employees are victims again. Yesterday I was on the ground and all the roads are flooded and completely impassable. It is inexplicable living conditions for all of us’.
