Thank you to everyone who has donated to our hurricane appeal. The Andrew Grene High School was able to distribute 62,880 Aquatabs to the students, thanks to your support. These tablets destroy micro- organisms in water to prevent cholera and other water-borne diseases, and are an essential in Haiti post-Hurricane Matthew. The students were taught how (and why) to use them.
Students have also been working with a local radio station, Radio Boukman, to make their own programme. They discussed the Dominican Republic’s humanitarian assistance to Haiti after the recent hurricane.
We’re delighted to let you know that our first cohort of sponsored students have successfully passed their end of year exams at university. Strudley and Tima are now in their third year; Ange-Guerdy, Vadel and Jeanise are in their second year.
