With hurricane season upon us, Storm Arlène came through Haiti on June 4th, showing her strength. We are relieved to report that the school was relatively unaffected, being in an area where the flooding from the river Grise was minimal, but we have been left with a clean-up operation in and around the school.
We were in the fortunate position to offer shelter in our classrooms to some of the local families whose homes had been badly affected, showing our continued commitment to our local community. The school was closed on Monday June 5th to complete the clean-up but reopened the following day to continue with scheduled exams.
Our thoughts are with residents on the island in the worst affected areas.
