Gregory Grene

Gregory Grene

Founder/Director AGF-USA

Twin brothers Gregory and Andrew were born in Chicago, moved to a small farm in Ireland at six months old, and spent their childhood between the two places. They met Tim at high school in Chicago.

Gregory studied English Literature and French at Trinity College Dublin, and English Education at Teachers College Columbia University. He teaches Literature at Fieldston Upper School in New York and at Teachers College. His background also includes acting on Broadway, working as a music producer at an international advertising agency, and working as a professional Irish musician and composer both in the US and abroad.

He returns every year to the farm in Ireland, accompanied by his young daughter Andi.

Through his work with the Foundation, Gregory seeks to honour and carry on his beloved twin’s passionate commitment to Haiti.

Tim Perutz

Tim Perutz

Founder/Director AGF-UK

Tim lived in London until he was 12 then he moved with his parents to the USA . After high school in Chicago, and college in Ohio, Tim earned an MA in History from the University of Edinburgh. He then started work as a pizza delivery boy! He ended up running a franchise of 10 shops with 200 employees. He joined Nimlok in 1992 as MD, when the company had 17 employees. Over the last 25 years Nimlok has grown into a group of companies that employs 800 people in 6 countries.

He met Andrew and Gregory aged 14 at High School on the outskirts of Chicago and they became inseparable mates: best friends, joint best men at his wedding, Godfather to his children. When Andrew lost his life in the earthquake in 2010, Tim felt passionately that he wanted to do something to honour Andrew, and so with Gregory, founded the AGF.

Jane Holden

Jane Holden

Director of Fundraising

AGF wouldn’t be AGF without Jane! Not only is she our Director of Fundraising, she does almost everything else related to the charity (apart from the accounts!), being with us since practically the start of our journey. Between her first-hand knowledge of all forms of fundraising and her zest for life, Jane is an incredible resource for volunteers, and actively encourages supporters to take part in all sorts of activities participating in many of these herself: leading by example! She brings with her over 20 years of fundraising and charity experience, and is renowned for her work in many communities, schools and companies. Jane is full of surprises: she loves to run, alone or with groups, in all kinds of events, whether serious marathons, of which she has completed 5, or for fun, running in mud and negotiating obstacles! Jane, a mother of three sons, is known for her huge warm smile and contagious laughter. Basically, she does it all!

Jeremy Roberts

Jeremy Roberts

Trustee

Jeremy is one of our original Trustees and also oversees the finances for AGF. He is a qualified certified accountant (don’t let that put you off, he’s not that boring!), and has worked with Tim since 2002. He is a keen supporter and has organised many events with his work colleagues to raise the profile of and income for the AGF. In his spare time he can be found either on the golf course or the cricket pitch; he obviously doesn’t have much spare time as he isn’t particularly good at either sport! Father to two lovely daughters, he enjoys family life in the county of Northamptonshire.

Nicholas Grene

Nicky Grene

He grew up on a farm in Co Wicklow, where he still lives with his wife Eleanor; they have four children and six grandchildren to date.

The Andrew Grene Foundation relies on the support of all our fundraisers and sponsors
